About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
I am a movement based media artist. My work has evolved with the times by questioning points of view. What do I see? How do I see it? How is it different? I have converged dance with video investigating humanity in new light both literally and metaphorically. Abstract ideas lie in discovering unseen truths. These truths are sometimes self evident in the moment, and sometimes reveal themselves over a long period of time. Lens technology has created a means for me to present artistic visions in kinetic ways. The physicality of dance presents inherent knowledge to knowing bodies. The lens captures moments that would otherwise be lost in the ephemeral moment. The blend between the lens and the body opens new dimensions offering a pallet for my artistic explorations. Bridging the gap between technology and humanity is a challenging macrocosm that extends into the evolution of the world and perceptions relative to the individual vantage within. By seeking the higher level of meaning from images moving and still I seek continued growth through movement and the lens.

Utilizing lens technology as a conduit for my vision, I examine the world through alternative viewpoints. Hanging environments, from above, below, zoomed in/out, utilizing different vantages to see the world. By focusing the lens of the camera to capture scenes from unknown perspectives to expose what is not normally seen. I believe new technologies provide the perfect vehicle offering unprecedented mobility. By continually asking how I see the world differently, my work explores concepts that may not be seen otherwise.

An unlikely duo, the natural body & technology, as the crux of the body moves in space through the lens of the camera and time resonating beyond that of the instantaneous moment. On the converse side contemplating how the camera moves through the natural world and exposes the moments that are often missed invigorates my imagination. Playing with vantage enables me to examine and live beyond the otherwise precious second of vitality that ordinarily would have faded into distant memory and reveal its inherent beauty. As an artist I seek to unmask the world from a vantage most individuals and groups of people might pass over in the chaotic lives that are today. My aim is to enlighten our everyday lives by encouraging one to listen and see in new amniotic ways, just waiting to be birthed into the world.

Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
