It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!: After graduating, in 1986, from the Stedelijk Instituut voor Ballet, Antwerp, Bruno Heynderickx made an international career dancing for some of Europe’s renowned dance companies ( Scapino, Ballet du Nord, Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève Rui Horta Stage Works etc..) He danced in a wide spectrum of repertoire ranging from the classic’s to the most contemporary work. Amongst many others he has danced works of George Balanchine, Marius Petit Pas, James Kudelka, Hans van Manen, Armando Navaro, Ohad Naharin, William Forsyth and has created works together with Amanda Miller, Nils Christe, Ed Wubbe, Rui Horta,

The meeting with Portuguese dance maverick Rui Horta, which happened while working as soloist at the Grand Theatre de Genève in 1998, proved to be a major development in his career. It lead Mr Heynderickx to new levels of artistic involvement in the dance world. With Rui Horta’s company, he creating four full length programs. During the process he became Rui Horta’s artistic assistant and went on to restage several of his works. During these year, Bruno Heynderickx, also worked as guest teacher with different European dance companies and was regularly invited to teach several repertoire and composition workshops

In 2000 Rui Horta asked him to help in the development of the newly establish the multi disciplinary arts and residency centre O Espaço do Tempo, where he assumed the responsibilities as international public relation officer, as well as tour manager for the company.

Under the leadership of Rui Horta, he was part of the development and became general coordinator of ECL COLINA – a European project in collaboration with: Dance City Newcastle (UK), Tanzhaus NRW, Düsseldorf (D), Kanuti Gildi Saal, Tallinn (EE), GRAN teater for Dans, Aarhus (DK), O Espaço do Tempo, Montemor-o-Novo (PT) Théâtre les Bernardines, Marseille (FR). Funded by a grant from the EU Culture 2000 program, ECL COLINA was an inter-disciplinary research laboratory. It provided upcoming and established artists from different artistic fields (dance, theatre, visual arts, contemporary music, architecture, new media) a platform to collaborate and research together

In 2004, next to his artistic and managerial activities for ECL COLINA, Rui Horta and O Espaço do Tempo, he began to manage and disseminate the work of several other artists/companies. At the end of 2005 he officialised this activity by founding CAMPAI vzw, a trans-national production and management agency based in Belgium with legal status of a non profit organisation. CAMPAI vzw was representing the work of 6 creators/companies that work within contemporary dance and theatre or the cross paths in between. Amongst these companies Ina Christel Johannessen’s zero visibility corp.

From August 2008 onwards he is assuming the responsibilities of Artistic and General Director of Carte Blanche, the Norwegian National Contemporary Dance Company. Under his leadership he will seek to further extend the dissemination of the companies excellence on a broader Scandinavian and international level.

Audition at CARTE BLANCHE | the Norwegian national company of contemporary dance

Carte Blanche’s annual audition takes place on December 3rd 2011 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Registration opens at 9:00 am. Applicants should be available for a call back on 4th December 2011. The audition takes place at Carte Blanche’s home Studio Bergen, Nøstegaten 119, 5011 Bergen, Norway.

Applicants must have a solid ballet and contemporary dance technique and be experienced in improvisation. Applicants should send their CV including headshot…
