My private practice, Physical Intelligence Life Arts, is a forum for movement arts, investigation, and performance practice. A transdisciplinary artist, I cross forms and by doing so create new technologies seeded in the embodied and lived experience. Some fields of focus: The Feldenkrais Method; embodied writing and inscriptions; qigong, acupressure, Taoist healing practices and Chinese 5 Elements theories; Amerta Movement with Suprapto Suryodarmo; live art installations and improvisations; and Philosophy of the Implicit, including Focusing and Thinking at the Edge. I curate salons in Oakland with Kadet Kuhne, and am Co-Founder and Co-Curator of SEEDS (Somatic Experiments in Earth, Dance, + Science).

Hey Margit! Funny I was just think about you this week. J & I might be coming up to Troy this Sat. (4/19) to check out the installation at EMPAC. Any chance you'll be around? Would be fun to see Troy in the springtime... I hope the snow is gone by now!

hi margit, i like how you said "i do cross forms". only it sounds like picket lines. "i do not cross forms" also sounds interesting. i also like "open sesame". i always liked sesame. im new here. just poking around...
"to include the manual and participatory" left me wondering. i use technology a lot, but ive noticed that the less a dancer uses it, usually the better the piece. maybe its just a phase..

Margit! I don't know if you remember me, but I met you at the crosspolination workshop at earthdance last year. I've been wanting to get in touch with you because my sister Meredith just moved to Albany to go to massage school and is missing contact with brainy dance types. Do you have room for a new friend?

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
