Hi Raphael. Thanks for this. I think you've made a really good point: that it depends on what the artist, or audience, values. You are expressing that your value is to start from raw material - wha...

Why didn't I get to this earlier? Does telematic dance teaching count?
wow. that's great that you are working on that, and also very related to my project. I'm working on the same thing... but not with mocap, with video, and not with traditional dance, but with contemporary. But it's great that you anticipated this p...

"dance and tech" is a field of theft and non-authentic invention

On the "genre" of dance and technology, a comment was made that the people who use the tools in dance and tech are just feeding off of the creativity of the person who invented the tool.

Hi Julie. Sounds great! How is work at EMMA? I'd be so interested to chat with you about what's going on in the lab and in your work. Will you be at SDHS this year? If so, we should absolutely meet up. I'd love to hear a lecture/see a performance if you'll be showing something too! I'll be giving a lecture on perception/presence of digital dance events. Hope to see you in San Francisco this summer!

Hi Julie. Thanks for your truly insightful and totally awesome comment on my interview video. You are 100% right! This place is a complicated "rational" maze of 90 degree angles created by the (totally natural and animal) minds of "men" and our bodies have conformed to IT to find alignment rather than discovering the ever-changing environment that surrounds us and reflects another aspect of our nature. Our physical alignment is illusive and can never be captured and is constantly... unpredictable, that favorable dichotomy, the recognition constant unpredictability of the environment and personal emotional reactions is priceless and a fantastic survival technique. Something else, the definition of dance for me has become absolutely void, like God. Dance is different for every user, I’m glad we don’t hold hostages in the name of Jazz or Ballroom.
