Emily Sweeney is a dance artist, originally from Vermont (US), where she studied at Bennington College, but now working internationally, performing, teaching, and participating in artist residencies around North America and Europe. Her work is concerned with the interplay between improvisation, choreography, bodies, senses, spaces, and memory. Her current projects include: an adaptation of a solo by Deborah Hay as part of the Solo Performance Commissioning Project; and resonance, an ongoing research and performance collaboration with Martín Lanz Landázuri and William “Bilwa” Costa. She is a founding member of the interdisciplinary working groups Perpetual Movement Sound and Intercontinental Collaborations. She has performed in the work of Claudia Bosse/theatercombinat at Impulstanz Vienna, and with Emily Johnson/Catalyst Dance. Emily is also a yoga teacher, having received her certification through the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Academy in Vrindavan, India. She is currently pursuing an MA in Performance & Creative Research at the University of Roehampton in London.

Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
