Hi,

great to find you here! I am actually off to the library tomorrow to read your book 'Being There' because I had trouble buying it. I spoke to Sophia Lycouris a few days ago and she recommended it to me.

Regards,
Sabine

Hi Andy! Sorry it's taken a while to get back to you. Your comment did not appear on my page, and I just decided to come back and look at your page for fun today!

Your explanation was very interesting. any work sample clips?

Thanks for asking! In my work, I try to understand how we build worlds and spaces that change the flow of information. The physical body does that too I think (I mean, not just the brain-bit of it). I don't think the boundaries between mind, body, and world are very fixed. There is productive leakage. The dance bit is new to me. It's an area I'd like to explore more.

I liked your bit about dating the central nervous system...still, it's more exciting than carbon dating. Carbon is a real drag.

wow - i'm interested in your idea about material scaffolding. can you explain that to me? and also, what do you see in dance that draws you to it for this kind of inquiry? As a dancer, and other varied things, I see a relationship beyond embodiment, but i'm curious what you see??

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
