Urban Pastoral is a spontaneous outdoor dance by Chris Ferris & Dancers with 10 dancers, 10 sculptural lights by Warren Kloner, and live music. These hand held lights illuminate, swing, slash, and dot the landscape after sunset. Each species of firefly has its own pattern of flash and flight path so that they can recognize each other. Prior to the performance dancers will randomly draw a way of moving with the lights. During the course of the performance dancers will seek out others with their pattern. As the bodies, lights, and sound bounce off the environment art comes to life in an unpredictable sensual experience. We are altering your perception the Urban Pastoral.
