AΦE hosted the UK’s first Choreographic Coding Lab (CCL) at their new A+E Lab in Chatham, UK, for movement hackers and practitioners to gather to discuss and work on projects, ideas and challenges in a peer-to-peer setting.
The CCL format is an outcome of the first phase (2010-2013) of Motion Bank, a research project of The Forsythe Company in Frankfurt focused on the creation of digital dance scores with guest choreographers. Motion Bank is now hosted at the Hochschule Mainz where it continues its dance research and analysis activities, collecting new datasets and developing tools. These datasets and tools will be made available to the CCL. The CCL was enriched by a selection of input sessions with experienced dance artists as well as members of the Motion Bank team.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
