Traveling Poto Mitan

Traveling is a movement-based, interactive installation that explores the transformative properties of traveling. The interest in traveling is in the spiritual experience of the act rather than simply the physical. However, the idea of physical travel is examined as a catalyst for spiritual. Accompanying the single channel, composite video is an abstract, hand-drawn floor design inspired by the Veve drawings used in Haitian Vodou ceremonies.
