Words of a youth through adult eyes. How buried are the memories in wounded ground? A short dance for camera piece using the Cornish language. Erbynn Ebron Growan (Against a granite sky) depicts a poem written by an 11 year old girl seeing Minions for the first time, the film display the thoughts and memories being recalled by the, now adult, writer revisiting. What has changed, how have those memories softened, can the adult finally recall the encounter the way the child had written....

MINIONS
Dark and gaunt against a
granite sky,
Stand the Minions,
old and proud.
Stones ravaged by wind and rain
Shrouded in mist and mystery
Like a ghost glowing majestically from
Stone to Stone.

The Hurlers dancing in a
Circle of magic
With the wind whispering an
eerie tune.

The Cheesewring stands
tall like a
giants table, waiting for
the feast to start!
Who will approach the feast?
Could it be the ghost of Rillaton Barrow
that causes the senses to tingle with fear?

Land that stood the test
of time is now
broken and crushed by
man’s ravenous search
for wealth.

Crumbling engine houses
stand like monuments of man’s
invention and greed!
How many ghosts lay beneath
the wounded ground in
tunnels like a rabbit’s warren?

Nobody knows the secrets
of Minions, that holds the land
in panic, fear and wonder!

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.
