Muse 010: Class with Anton Lachky, Dresden
Marlon Barrios Solano interviews Anton Lachky in the context of MUSE 010 organized by Tanzplan Dresden at the Palucca Schule.
Description of the course and bio from Tanzplan Dresden website:
The primary goal of this course is to emphasize the joy of dancing and allow participants to find pleasure in movement. The workshop aims to help performers develop a strong individual presence and provide an opportunity for playful experimentation as well as hard work. The main focal points are coordination, the limits of speed, the isolation of individual body parts and the establishment of a strong centre. In this course Anton Lachky challenges the dancers’ creativity and teaches his approach to the development of dance material. This involves an in-depth exploration of movement and its complexity so as to create redesigned material for movement.

Anton Lachky (SK/B)
Anton Lachky has become one of the most sought after teachers and performers on stage today. With speed and fluidity that defies imagination, he is both an inspiring teacher and a captivating dancer. He trained at the University of Bratislava in 2001, and then he studied at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. He left P.A.R.T.S. and joined the company of Akram Khan in 2004. After two years of performing and touring to 48 countries around the globe, Lachky left the Akram Khan Company to develop his own work. He is currently a member of Les Slovaks Dance Collective.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
