These are students at Loyola Marymount University where I teach in Los Angeles. I will upload the "product" of these rehearsals as soon as I figure out how to convert the itunes m4v to a format that I can upload here. To answer your questions.. all the choreography is set- no improv or realtime performance choices or options.
The performance of the work involves nine infrared security cameras mounted from above and placed around the stage. The cameras are input to a video multiplexer which combines the images in various ways (also choreographed not random) and projects them onto the cyc behind the dancers--- a beast of a production tech-wise but worth it. I'm very happy with the work and will present it again next summer here in LA.
