This is interesting. From what I know about video based motion capture, most systems cannot take big changes in movement like what you see in this video. Usually participants have major constraints (For example, they cannot change their frontal facing or travel in the space). Advances in markerless motion capture are really exciting! From my experience and from qualitative studies I've done in the past, the markers are one of if not the most distracting and cumbersome aspects of the system.
