About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
The choreographic work of Alexey Taran involves respect and curiosity for the extraordinary creative movement of the Latin American megalopolis, both for its ambiguity as well as for the continent's ethnic-cultural diversity.

Alexey Taran choreographer and media artist, has led Bistoury a Physical Theater & Films since its creation in 2005. His work has had a dynamic impact on contemporary dance, film and theatre. Born in Cuba, he received training in Ballet at Havana's National School of Art, which offered him the opportunity to be able to break down rigid structures of composition and narration, bringing him closer to an open work influenced by other art media.

His stage and film work with Bistoury has achieved constant recognition and important awards. For example the short film “Imaginarium” was selected for the “Cannes Court Métrage, Short Film Corner, Festival de Cannes” 2012 in France. The multidisciplinary performance “Bolo” was realized thanks to the Guggenheim Fellowship in 2007. In 1996 and 1998, his plays were recognized with awards by the Recontres Choregraphiques in France, and in Germany by Internationales Sommer Theater Festival Hamburg; Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Frankfurt; Haus der Kulturem der Welt, Berlin and Tanz and Theater International, Hannover.

In 2013 and 2011 Taran was awarded with the Dance Miami Choreographers Fellowship Program.

He has taught improvisation workshops in various international festivals such as: Center for Dramatic Arts, Croatia; Exodos Festival of Contemporary Performing Art, Slovenia; VI Annual International Contemporary Dance Conference and Performance Festival, Poland. III International Festival "Small Forms of Dance Theater" Warsaw, Poland. 16 Dance Week Festival, Croatia; among others.

From his early beginnings, Taran's work has been difficult to define, due in great part to his non-structural approach and his constant exploration, research and collaboration with different artists in different media such as film, sculpture, theater and literature. His work, beyond merely distancing itself from the scenic guidelines of contemporary dance, have brought him closer to human beings as a starting point for his artistic creation.

Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
