Exploring choreographic knowledge in networked environments

“What pattern connects the crab to the lobster and the orchid to the primrose and all four of them to me? And me to you?”

Gregory Bateson in Mind and Nature

An online lab led by Marlon Barrios Solano (HZT-Berlin researcher associate and dance-tech.net and .TV  creator) and Rachel Boggia (Bates College, USA)

Sept 1st to Sept 12 2015

meta-academy@HZT-Bates 2015 is an online lab investigating the  potential of networked environments  (from internet to mobile devices) for performance, contemporary choreographic practices, and collaborative knowledge production.

The participants will explore online resources and cutting edge digital internet technologies to remotely connect, perform, register, aggregate, map and visualize the knowledge articulated in their own creative/artistic practice and research.

Online lab activities include synchronous encounters, discussion forums, individual and collaborative projects and a presentation of final projects.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
