Created in 2004, The Barnard Project at Dance Theater Workshop was the first university partnership of its kind pairing artists presented at Dance Theater Workshop with Barnard College and Columbia University dance students in a semester-long residency environment. Since its inception the program has commissioned 22 new works. Now in its sixth year, The Barnard Project offers choreographers and their selected casts the opportunity to work in a laboratory setting that emphasizes a shared process. The resulting new works by 2010 - 2011 artists Kimberly Bartosik, Ori Flomin, Will Rawls, and Gwen Welliver are performed at Dance Theater Workshop.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
