At this monthly Kinetic Cinema program, Great Dance blogger Doug Fox will screen more than fifteen dance and movement animations.
The featured clips show how directors, artists, choreographers and dancers have used different animation styles and techniques to capture, illustrate and transform human movement.
Among the animation styles that will be highlighted during this screening program include: 2D, 3D, live-action and computer graphics, rotoscoping, stop-motion, interactive performance graphics, machinima, motion graphics and other styles.

About Kinetic Cinema
Kinetic Cinema is a co-presentation of Chez Bushwick and Pentacle's Movement Media and explores the intersection of dance and the moving image. Each month Anna Brady Nuse, director of Movement Media, invites a special guest from the fields of dance and the media arts to share films and videos that have inspired them. About Doug Fox
Since the early 1990s, Doug Fox has written, spoken and consulted about the Internet and technology, primarily for the meeting and hospitality industry. In 2005, soon after beginning to study dance, Fox launched Great Dance, one of the first dance blogs. During the summer of 2008, he began to study and research all forms of animation, especially as they relate to dance and movement. This research led to the creation of his dance animation educational program, which he will be introducing at Kinetic Cinema. Doug Fox's Great Dance: http://greatdance.com

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
