Event Description

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 01 NOVEMBER 2015

Screendance Africa is curating a selection for African Dance Films for the The Tanzrauschen Festival in Wuppertal, Germany to be screened at Die Börse Kommunikationszentrum 'Looping Cinema’ 28 - 31 Jan 2016.

Do you have a short dance video that you would like Screendance Africa to showcase? We welcome any genre of dance on screen: dance video, narrative or non-narrative, experimental, student and /or professional. Most importantly we are looking for dance videos that activate the crossover of dance, choreography and the cinematic medium. We will select dance videos that demonstrate a clear intention, that use the dance, location(s), choreography, camera movement and the edit to activate this.

• All films must be produced in Africa, preferably made by Africans.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
