About
Mancopy Dansekompagni is a Contemporary Dance company based in Copenhagen, Denmark
Company Overview
Global thinking!
Searching for human expression beyond borders

Founded in 2005 under the direction of Jens Bjerregaard, Mancopy has always had the expression of the human body in the centre of its work as a valid means of expression. The physical body represents not only movement but also a functional means of communication.

Aiming to establish a free and open communication of the human expression, Mancopy Dansekompagni is on the forefront of any conventional artistic structure. Thanks to its international composition and unconventional comprehension of what dance creators do, Mancopy seeks more than just the next performance or the next tour.
Description
A knowledge-based dance company!
Sharing knowledge to create and communicate

Instead of keeping dance inside pre-set structures, Mancopy persists in maintaining a fluid and moving form. A form that’s prompt to challenge artistic, structural, geographical and cultural boundaries. A form based on knowledge and exchange in order to create artistic connections. A form that connects to the audience by reaching and enabling the knowledgeable artist.

The company’s self-renewal is vital. Although its geographical base is in Denmark, the artistic work reaches way further, like an open door to the treasures in the dance world – treasures to be nourished and shared with the public.
Mission
Movement projects in-movement!
Creating valid art is to leave traces inside and outside one’s society.

Mancopy is breaking the traditional norms of a dance company. Performances are at the core of its output, but cannot be enough – stronger and deeper traces need to be made through collaborations, development projects, exchange projects, or merely through the constant flow of new artists challenged to create “originally” within the company. Mancopy believes that knowledge, exchange and communication push the artwork further, leaving a stronger impact inside and outside the society.

New eyes for new ideas!
To work with Mancopy is to fulfil the purpose of the project

With an approach as new and mobile, it is only natural that a flow of artists create under the umbrella of Mancopy.

When collaborating, the aim of Mancopy is:
- To find the right artist for the right project.
- To enable the artists to go further than they can elsewhere, creating an environment that encourages focus, risk and flexibility.
- To build close relationships with certain artists (Associated Artists) that return to work within Mancopy.
Occupation ( maximum of three):
Movement artist (dancer/interdisciplinary performer)

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
