<a href="https://dancetech.ning.com/video/infinite-light-limited-edition-benton-c-bainbridge-brooke"><br /> <img src="https://storage.ning.com/topology/rest/1.0/file/get/2177776980?profile=original&amp;width=240&amp;height=135" width="240" height="135" alt="Thumbnail" /><br /> </a><br />Choreographer Brooke Broussard and video artist Benton-C Bainbridge are joined by composer Ben Bromley for a new dance, video and music art work based on footage created for Xi'an, China's 2011 International Horticultural Exposition.<br /> <br /> Bainbridge shot dancers Chelsea Retzloff, Kana Kimura, Ruby MacDougall, Hayley Jones and Brooke Broussard herself in a green screen studio in Shanghai and then transformed them with analog and digital FX to create cosmic collisions, tree spirits and blossoming flowers in the spirit of the Expo.<br /> <br /> The video and choreography can be seen nightly in Xi'an through October 22, playing on 80 meter sprays of water and organic-shaped LED screens, both on land and underwater.<br /> <br /> The premiere of INFINITE LIGHT LIMITED EDITION gives audiences their first chance to see this work without traveling to Xi'an, condensed into a sensuous single channel mix and set to a new score by Ben Bromley of NewVillager.<br /> <br /> Brooke Broussard is an emerging choreographer whose work incorporates neuro science, emotional states and inventive, improvisational movement; culminating in a multi-media performance that will be groundbreaking in the arts. Brooke strives to be a individual choreographer in the arts focusing on the dance community while also collaborating with musicians, visual artists, and advancing technologies. Her visions cross the line away from the typical dance performance into a new generation of tech savvy performance art.<br /> <br /> Benton-C Bainbridge is an artist based in The Bronx and Nashville working with video as a painterly and performable medium. Benton-C’s media art is made with custom systems of his own design. Bainbridge has presented video as immersive environments and live compositions across 5 continents, collaborating with scores of artists around the world.
