"Il Viaggio a Reims" is a contemporary dance reworking of the homonymous comic opera of Gioachino Rossini.
The direction is supervised by Marinella Ramazzotti, famous musicologist and university professor.
The show is enhanced with innovative direction techniques: first of all the use of a digital scenography in which the dancers interact. The screen shows movies made with advanced filmmaking techniques (green screen, 3D...) that depeen the story and the characters' psychology.
The goal is to bring opera to the public, particularly young people, proposing the use of contemporary forms of expression close to the interests of today's youth, such as urban dance, film and multimedia.

Staged for the first time May 30, 2010 @ Valle Theater, Chiaravalle (An), Italy.

Questo spettacolo è la realizzazione scenica in forma di balletto moderno dell'opera lirica buffa"Il Viaggio a Reims" di Gioachino Rossini, la cui regia è stata supervisionata da Marinella Ramazzotti, musicologa e docente di Storia della Musica dell'Università degli Studi di Macerata.

Lo spettacolo si propone come una nuova forma culturale mai andata in scena prima in Italia.
L'obiettivo della rappresentazione è l'avvicinamento del pubblico, in particolare dei giovani, all'opera lirica, riproponendola con l'utilizzo di forme espressive contemporanee e vicine agli interessi della gioventù odierna, quali le danze urbane, il cinema e la multimedialità.

Andato in scena per la prima volta il 30 Maggio 2010 al Teatro Valle di Chiaravalle (con la collaborazione del comune che ha valutato il progetto talmente valido da fornire il teatro per la messa in scena), è stato replicato in Piazza Salvo d'Acquisto il 14 Luglio 2010, sotto richiesta della III Circoscrizione del Comune di Ancona.

CorpusMedia is a Euro-regional platform for the networking of contemporary digital performance focusing on choreographic composition and the development of digital tools for performance making. Created in 2007 in the Euro-region of the Catalonia, Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon, the platform is dedicated to artistic-scientific research, outreach, and touring of artistic productions with the objective of opening the access to contemporary digital performance culture within the region. In 2007, 2008 and 2009, professional meetings, public presentations of works in progress and finalised performances take place in various cities and venues of the euro region. From 2010 on other partners are joigning the project: the Museum of Contemporary Art EsBaluard, Palma de Mallorca (Balearic Islands) and the Yann Lheureux Company (Montpellier). In 2011 a new project puts forward a reinforced impact on the euro regional level.
