@ the tech of Koosil-ja Blocks of Continuality DTW 3_2_10

These are sections of the technical rehearsal of piece Blocks of Continuality/Body, Image, and Algorithm by Koosil-ja/danceKUMIKO at Dance Theater Workshop in NYC.
In the first section a constellation of video and image samples is presented to the dancers and they create the dance making movement decisions based in the presented images.
In the second section the sound is created by the brain waves of one musician which activate a bot that hits the wall of the theater (after a very didactic moment). Dancers control 3D and environments avatars with wii remotes attached to their bodies.
It opens March 3rd 2010

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
