La Caldera, Barcelona, Catalunya (Trailer)

In 1995 a series of artists/choreographers joined forces to transform an old factory in the neighborhood of Gracia, Barcelona into a platform for independent creation. Montse Colomé, Inés Boza, Alexis Eupierre, Lipi Hernández, Carles Mallol, Toni Mira, Maria Rovira, Álvaro de la Peña, Sol Picó and Carles Salas transformed the need for a work space into a collective project they called La Caldera.

Today, this centre answers to the dance sector's different needs whilst fostering relations and exchange between artists from different generations and backgrounds.

La Caldera is a centre for production, creation, research and distribution. Contemporary writings of the body and ideas define the activities for 2010. National Dance Prize 2006
La Caldera is partner of Plataforma Caníbal and it's an IETM member.
