Les origamis sont des constructions en papier formées uniquement par une succession précise de pliages et de dépliages. Corinne Rochet et Nicholas Pettit, ont été séduits par la potentielle relation des corps à la fragilité intrinsèque de ces objets de papier. Ils utilisent l’origami et l'aïkido comme source d’inspiration, prétexte pour créer une écriture chorégraphique épurée autour
de la distorsion, du pliage.
Que ce soit les costumes, la réverbération des lumières, les corps des cinq interprètes mis en scène ou les distorsions sonores, tout devient matière à s’étirer, se rétracter, se contracter, se construire ou se déconstruire. Ils créent ainsi un espace onirique dans lequel s’élabore une métaphore à la fois caustique et tendre de notre société.
