EPISODE 9 - The cold plant

projectFlex is an online archive of the possibility given by flex system, a didactic web series about the interaction between sound and movement. Every week a one minute improvisation episode – that explains one different possibility to use the system to play music while dancing- will come out.

In the ninth episode of the series, "The cold plant", Alessio is wearing flex sensors on his elbows and knees. When he bends his legs he makes notes from two different sound synthesisers. His right art commands the volume of a synthetic sound and the left art the sound of a bell. The set and the atmosphere were inspired by some works of David Lynch and Philippe Quesne, after Alessio found a plant on the set and discovered the absence of heating system in the room.
