'36' was an EDge commission in 2010-11 and was re-created for ROH2 with support from London Contemporary Dance School.
In '36', the dancers are a team in a new dance-sport, and they play against a variable compositional structure of time and space.

What happens:
- when the dancers know the choreography by heart, but they do not know what role they will play?
- if each choreographic component includes complicated permutations of twelve numbers?
- if the work also has thirty-six flying props?
- if each team-member has to chose a different role within the team at fixed points?

'36' combines chaos and order, desperation and hope, pain and relief, and concentration and madness but is, above all, an exciting display of real-time problem-solving.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
