well, we could give a motion tracking workshop then if you want while we are there -- either june, august, or september. info is at http://www.palindrome.de/content/workshop !
Salamanaca sounds nice!
yes in the web of reverso you can see the progress of the works of the future centre, which will be mainly for our own production plus workshops etc, but we will surely be intersted in exchanges of other kinds. It is not in madrid but one hour and a half away, near Salamanca, in a tiny village...
Dear Robert,
unfortunately our REVERSO Centre will not be finished by the summer, so we cannot offer you that space yet, the works are moving but it is far from finished. If I can think of some other space I'll let you know.
best regards
Hi! How was the trip back? How was the performance?
It was great to meet you and chat the night away! I just sent a "friend request" and I'll message you my personal email. All the best and lets talk soon... skype? My name, I believe is Ashley Friend... :)
Great. It was a pleasure. The video was fun to edit; you are a fascinating artist and feller with lots of opinions... and I like that. So... yes. I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn, would be more than glad to meet up, chat, and move around with sound bodies. All the best and looking forward to it!
We had emailed last year when i was writing my master's thesis at the University of Amsterdam where i now started myPhD.I thought you might as well see how i look like.
OK! So far, those dates work well with our calendar (probably after would be good) - but we'll figure that out once we know what you propose to do. How many days max would you like to stay?
Hey!
right on! this is one of the amazing things of this network..those in person exchanges and exchanges...Go OSU!
About the issues with the messaging I think that might have to do with of versions of JS in your computer.
Robers have you tried in a different computer...?
Hunh? At a loss for the technical issues you raised with regard to receiving messages on your browser. Hmm. I've never had any trouble, knock on wood. It seems maybe Marlon would be a person to contact about this.
But, anyway, my message was that if you are still interested in a residency here at EMMA, we'd like to know what dates you are available for, and what kind of lecture/demo/workshop ish thing you'd like to do here! I'll then ask for your bio, just for the committee to look over, and then we'll see what we can do!! We're excited that we may see you soon!
if you go to the very top of the page, about the dance-tech.net logo, you'll see your name in small print with an envelope next to it... and click that... that's your inbox!!! let me know if you get the message
Right you are - I just added in the accents! All is well here - busy and happy. Traveled a lot in November but now I have been home most of the month - joy! Happy New Year to you.
Hello Robert,
Norah Zuniga-Shaw, who is a Dance and technology professor at OSU) and Matt Lewis from ACCAD (The Advanced Computer Center for the Arts and Design) are members of this network.
They are very open...
peace,

yep, that comment was on your wall not mine, but i found it. I think I did that a couple times too at first. Hmm.... a correction, sadly we invited, but unable to attend NIME. I was heavy into finals week when Suguru and I were planning the trip - just couldn't get out of things in good time.
I'm a student. I still do my own work, which for the time involves setting up collaborations with artists from far away lands, and continuing my investigations with VICKI. Being a GA at the EMMA Lab, I have a vote on the incoming residencies, so its a nice set-up. If you're interested in a visit, we should chat.
As for plans to come to Europe. I've been investigating trip possibilities for some time now. Waiting for the right situation to unfold for that... and for the appropriate free space on my calendar.
Welll - meat-and-potatoes... where are you lecturing in January? I'm heading out to Hawaii for a week in January. That's it for my winter lecture/presentation schedule. Nothing again until spring. We should get in touch if you're going to be near the area. We could meet up for coffee
more from me.,.,, ok., sure. beats preparing these lectures (i have a series of talks in january) --
im a meat-and-potatoes sort of dancer. i wont even touch an interactive system before ive danced. thats rule #1. ive never been to OSU. its funny, weve been to a million schools, just not that one. maybe makes sense since they have their own -- wherewithall with these things. still, from my side, it would be fun. compare notes. we're going to be in Springfield in the spring. i may have forgotten my u.s. geography but it cant be too too far.
so... lets see , i just read your little bio. we have some common intersts (NIME! thats cool you were there. we were at the last two- im always saying more dancers should go. the other place crying out for dancers is ICMC and SEAMUS-- where we applied. lets see... ) , probably some differences (you may have read my feelings about video screens.,.,.,). you are a kinetic instructor.,. um.... is that something like a dance teacher. (i can never keep up the all the terms!) And you are a student and a teacher both. i guess i would agree on that one. any plans to come to europe?
I'm actually at Ohio State University. I just came up as a guest lecturer. There's a pretty sweet motion capture system at OSU as well. Anyway - I can't wait to hear more from you on this network. It's been a great way to connect across spaces.
