Synchronous Objects - A Data Visualization Exploration

Now that the William Forsythe/Ohio State University dance visualization project "Synchronous Objects" is up, I wrote:

What do you think about this ambitious visualization project for dance?

Hi Cindi,

Thanks for your comment.

I'm intrigued as well. I've gone through the basics of the site pretty thoroughly - movement themes, alignments and cue annotations. And will soon spend more time with the other visualization tools and applications.

Will you specifically use the counterpoint tool for your own choreography? I'm curious how you would do this?

I have been obsessed with this ever since it launched. I think that the way that it re-defines choreography is amazing. It says: this is the dance, but the choreography is more than that. The counterpoint tool is an amazing tool that choreographers can use to understand their own work, and how to create the effect that they are imagining...I think it'd be a fantastic educational tool for student choreographers.
