Movement on Screen 2009 was a total sensation! I already enjoyed the previous year but the 2009 festival was miles better. The Cornerhouse, which is pulsing hub for contemporary visual art and it is also located right in the heart of Manchester, was a great venue and moves had its own delegate centre.

Here is the "dancer-sized enclosure" version of the Laban Pure Form (a development of Rudolf Laban's work in Choreutics) by Bedford Interactive's Jim Schofield. The 3D form which was unavailable previously, features unique vertices for each of Laban's 26 directions of orientation.

The call for entries is now open for the 2009 VideoDansa projects competition. This competition, organised by NU2's with the collaboration of TELEVISIÓN OF CATALUNYA and the Generalitat de Catalunya's Department of Culture and Media, is only open to artists working in Catalunya.
