About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!: Floanne Ankah is an actor, choreographer and filmmaker born in France and based in New York City. After graduating from the Merce Cunningham Studio in 2004, she continued honing her skills in theatre, opera and yoga. A pluri-diciplinary artist, Ankah explores various performance forms on stage and as been awarded for her experimental films internationally.
Her choreography has been seen at Movement Research at the Judson Church, the Merce Cunningham Studio, the HERE Arts Center and the Aabrons Arts Center. Residencies include FAR from the Field and Silo from DanceNOW/nyc. She has performed for Mina Nishimura, Noémie Lafrance and Meredith Monk at venues such as the Guggenheim Museum, Dance Theatre Workshop and the Joyce SoHo.
Floanne aspires to simplicity and believes that the audience plays a prominent part in the creation of art, as they actively observe what they are presented with: they create what they think, see and feel.
