Vittoria Maniglio is an independent minded, adventurous performer, focused on body centered art. She began her artistic career as a dancer, training between Rome and New York, where in 2001 she awards a one year scholarship at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance.

Back to Rome, from 2006 'til 2009 she dances as a principal dancer in the contemporary dance company Cie Twain and she works also as director's assistant.

In 2008 she graduates in D.A.M.S. (B.A. in Performance and Cinema Studies) presenting a final essay about the experimental filmmaker and choreographer Amy Greenfield with whom she begins also a collaboration as a performer for the projects "Club Midnight: Flesh into Light" and "Spirit in the Flesh" (2009-2011).

Since then she carries on her research on movement and expressive gesture attending several Biomechanics courses held by Master Gennadi Bogdanov(2010-2011) and collaborating as a free lance performer with videoartists,
photographers, composers.

In 2011 she performs at La Biennale Teatro (Venezia) in Jan Fabre's performance "The Holy Gangster".

In 2012 she completes her M.A. in Cinema and Video Studies at D.A.M.S. in Rome (RomaTre University).

Her love for the moving image and the moving body led her to realize the short dance film "Natività"(2013), her first authorial work, which premieres in 2015 at RIFF (Rome Independent Film Festival).

Her solo performance "Mary full of grace" (2014) also debuts in 2015 in Venice at Ca' Zanardi during the art exposition "The Labirynth - It's Liquid Group".

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
