About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
I am a Los Angeles based choreographer, performer, dance teacher and yoga instructor. I have been making dances since my first exposure to movement composition in 1999. Upon entering Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT I began deepening my understanding of modern dance technique and experimenting with cultural forms from Ghana, Java and Europe. I earned my bachelor's degree in Choreography and Performance from Wesleyan in 2009, where I choreographed and wrote my honors thesis on Authentic Movement in practice and performance. I have had the opportunity to perform in theater-based and site-specific works with Pedro Alejandro Dance and Dancers, Rachel Boggia, Katja Kolcio, Liz Lerman, Arianne MacBean and more recently in projects by sound and visual artists. I am also an arts advocate and have worked as an administrator with several nonprofit organizations, including Movement Research (New York, NY) and CONTRA-TIEMPO (Los Angeles, CA). I am currently involved in interdisciplinary film, sound and movement collaborations with local artists as well as site specific research as an Artist in Residence in Joshua Tree National Park.

Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
