About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!: I am a tap dancer: a musician with my feet and a dancing percussion player. I'm is fascinated by the power and the poetry of steps, and their ability to navigate many different worlds. Using the universal language of rhythm, I step onto concert stages, boardrooms and barricades, with vigorous energy and joyous virtuosity. In Holland I received the Jur Naessens prize for innovation in music, and I keep working to find new paths in tap dance. Sharing the knowledge and working methods of artists outside of the stage is a passion for me. Projects in this field range from interactive concerts to lectures, workshops and sessions in which professionals from in- and outside of the arts work together on a shared theme.
I am working on my second dance film, a short extravagant adventure in black and white filmed with an old handcranked camera. My first film was a dance documentary called One Million Steps, which we filmed on the streets of Istanbul before and during the massive protests around Gezi Park in 2013.
