I am an interdisciplinary artist: a performance maker, a dancer, a writer and a certified teacher of Skinner Releasing Technique.
From training in ballet, somatic dance, choreography, fine art, photography, and aesthetics; my creative practice combines movement, photography, text and site.
My primary concerns are embodied, sense-based experience of space and spaces, somatic practice, the politics of embodied intersubjectivity and the contexts of personal and cultural histories.
Residencies and presentations include: R.I.C.E. on Hydra, Art Claims Impulse Berlin, What Now London, Arnolfini Bristol, 4th Plinth Trafalgar Square, Futura Gallery Prague, Galerie Vaclav Spala Prague, Preview Berlin Art Fair, National Gallery of Modern Art Prague, British Council Prague, Kyoto Arts Centre Japan, Art of Movement Yaroslavl Russia, Jacobs Pillow USA. I was based for 5 years (and two years some years previously) in Prague, Czech republic as Teacher at Duncan Centre Conservatoire for Modern Dance and as British Council Artist in residence at Prague Academy of Art. I have danced for Tino Sehgal, Susanna Szperling, Michael Klien, Rosemary Lee, Wally Cardona, Ricochet Dance Productions

Humans exploring collaboration, coops, hybrid art, dance, embodiment, cognition, tech-science, networks, post-humanism and culture.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
