About Me (human/individual)/interests, work..short bio/ THis is the most important. It is the only way to know that you are not a SPAMBOT!Be generous!
KINEMATIK nurtures and expands the art of dance by providing visually stimulating and provocative choreography that pushes the boundaries of traditional representations of urban and contemporary dance. KINEMATIK’s approach to dance theater is considering choreography not only as a performing art but also as a visual art form. KINEMATIK fuses elements of urban vernacular dance such as House, Hip Hop, Breakdance and Voguing and integrates it with contemporary modern dance technique as a means to increase the visibility of urban dance in a concert stage setting. KINEMATIK’s aim is to educate existing dance audiences and expose new audiences to the urban art form through public performances and workshops. The company is dedicated to providing outreach programs to foster and inspire creative expression. KINEMATIK speaks with a socially active voice and by reconstructing the conventional addresses common social stereotypes to engage its audience to rethink existing notions about urban and contemporary dance and culture. Our company aims to vitalize the concert dance world with a fresh new perspective on the conceptual street dance movement. KINEMATIK takes urban dances such as House, Hip Hop & Breakdance out of its traditional cultural context and re-imagines the way urban dance is presented in a concert stage setting.

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
