Carles Sora is an interactive media designer. Carles explore new modes of interaction and manipulation of media througth interactivity, taking forms of performance, interactive applications or reactive environtments. He has developed cultural interfaces in contexts as video art, theater, cultural and science dissemination and fine arts. This inquiry is about designing interfaces that express their content through their forms and use.
He has presented his work at international congresses and venues, and worked developing software for other artists or with collaborators. He is focusing now in digital performance.
Carles works as associate professor of interactive communication at the Audiovisual Studies Department of Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, where he joined as assitent professor in 2005. Carles holds an MS in cognitive systems and interactive media from UPF and a background in Multimedia Studies from UPC.
