We ask ourselves what does InShadow – International Festival of Video, Performance and Technologies, state in this contemporary world, a world incomplete, lawless, depleted, changeable and immense, rendered to struggle which diversifies and persists individually, socially and culturally. We reflect and propose a program where the individual/spectator is also the author of narratives that establish a dialogue with their time.
VIDEO – because image constructs a memory, a past, a representation, a look. PERFORMANCE – because it relates bodies and body is life, which may be everything that fits in a body of an individual, who alters the present by being bodily there. TECHNOLOGY – because it projects change and the revolution, which may simultaneously gather and distance people in days to come, mobilizing the body itself, either physically of virtually. These are the paradigms that sustain the continuation, we believe in the individual’s revolution, and his retreat from the shadow to reveal himself.
InShadow Festival announces what not everyone can find beneath a shadow: image, body and technology. A territory of options that lead us to reflect, feel and perceive the light which lies within a shadow.
It is through an intense program in the areas of video, performance and technologies that InShadow Festival assumes itself as a laboratory festival where artistic, technical and aesthetic experiences arise and cross in an interdisciplinary dimension.
This is a concrete Festival that promotes the meeting between bodies, tendencies, images and sounds which complete each other to generate a narrative capable of projecting an inspiring shadow in a hopefully luminous future. We won’t turn off the light or lay down our arms to rest our legs, instead we’ll activate a technological mechanism to perpetuate the enthusiasm of experiencing InShadow.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
