Nice conversation--I finally came back from a road trip and was able to spend the hour listening.

I think something intriguing to me was the idea of "detail."  I used to think more about physical tension--that various forms of dance use a different palette of tension: Balinese uses lots of tension in the hands, ballet in the leg rotators and Contact Improv uses less tension for greater sensitivity to receive information from others, etc.  But I really like the idea of detail.  It makes me think of how one advances in one's study.  Considering and playing with Baroque architecture with all the gold swirly details might generate a closer look at ballet technique and the specific spatial pathways, where the detail one can acquire while standing in the river and becoming attentive to the temperature, eddy mini-swirls and pressure changes may help folks in CI grow in their technique to become more responsive or sensitive.  Nice.  There are other parts of this conversation too that were stimulating--thank you!
