Fascinating...my sense of orientation to the paper vis-a-vis my inner body - amazing in what is felt vs what is drawn - I'm calling the drawing my 'TKG' - tensile kinetic graphic - since it represents the phases of noise and sequence of meaningful in my hand languaging.
can't seem to upload the photo - only the attachment jpeg.
here goes to last!
I'm used to drawing as a way of examining/documenting movement through space, weight, gesture, etc, so I found it interesting to draw my internal state/sense and then to "write" as an extension of that state. I felt constrained because I wanted to move more and to engage my whole body in the process, and I wanted to allow my marks to travel freely across the page instead of organizing them into rows/columns. However, this constraint focused my attention internally, and the exercise became more about tracking my breath and body rhythms from moment to moment--almost more of a meditative experience than about tracking movement through space. At some point I might try the exercise with a much larger piece of paper and for a longer period of time...

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
