CLOUD is an open network organization focusing on research, in the field of dance and performance art. CLOUD is based at Danslab, in The Hague, The Netherlands since october 2011. Initiated and organized by independent artists working in The Netherlands, CLOUD invites artists interested in developing practices related to the body, movement and performativity to create at CLOUD their own conditions for doing research and present work.

CLOUD has no subsidy, no manager, no fixed rules. CLOUD is about learning by doing, peer to peer exchange, first publish then edit and the doers decide. Artists and non-artists with backgrounds in dance, mime, visual art, music, therapy, academics, circus and more :) organize at CLOUD residencies, informal presentations, conferences, workshops, lessons and expert meetings. Anyone can start working at CLOUD.

CLOUD brings people together from all ages, backgrounds, disciplines and knowhow: hard core artfarts and entertainers, therapists and teachers, academics and autodidacts, amateurs and professionals from many different fields. People come to CLOUD for a temporarily shared interest or for a long term commitment. Research is expected to create new experiences, and share them with peers and interested audience.
