Working with/as businesses, corporations, and investors: Making money off dance+tech?

Hi everyone,

I need some perspectives from all corners of the dance+tech community. Here's an overview of the situation: I recently made some senior members of a large private technology business incubator in the Philippines become incredibly excited about dance+technology. Traditionally, they link investors with entrepreneurs and inventors, but this year they want to actively incorporate art into the mix of technology-based ideas they encourage.

At the end of this month, I'll be giving a presentation in Manila to a community of scientists, investors, and entrepreneurs. So the question for everyone, and the question that I want to begin to answer during that presentation: Do you have or have had any dance+tech projects that you think an investor should fund, because it has the potential of generating revenue?

I'm not trying to steal anyone's ideas, and I would be more than pleased to properly cite you when I give my presentation. In fact, if you're keen enough, perhaps we could collaborate so that you could take an active part of that presentation. Perhaps an future opportunity could even come out of this. (The Philippines is a
developing nation in a kind of bizarre hyper-capitalist drive, and
which has been reasonably protected from the current global economic
crisis. I also heard from someone that next to China, it is one of the
largest art exporters in the region Asia.)

About me: I used to hold a more active practice in dance/dance+tech in Canada before I started teaching courses on information technology and society at the University of the Philippines. Here's my LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/diegomaranan

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
