Hi Friends,
Last month I launched the second installment of an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art without the museum's consent. Essentially, I was invited to re-perform some early solo works by modernist choreographer Ted Shawn at the museum in October of 2013. After these performances took place, I discovered that Ted Shawn had actually made a gift of these works to the museum in the 1940's, but that MoMA had later given them away. I contend that if he had been considered an "Artist", they would not have been able to do so - the rules of deaccession are such that they are not allowed to give away work by living artists and Shawn was alive at the time of his deaccession. So I created an AR installation reinserting these works in the museum where he intended them to be (www.thereaccessionoftedshawn.com)
Now, I am creating the third installment, one which will allow participants to co-create content and add their own responses, dances, or critiques the installation itself. If anyone has experience or ideas on how to best pull this off, I would sincerely appreciate it. I am also happy to talk more about how the installation works and what the response has been like.
Thanks so much,
Adam

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
