Event Description

Peter Boal, Artistic Director of Pacific Northwest Ballet (PNB) and former Principal Dancer of New York City Ballet, is joined by PNB principal dancers James Moore and Lucien Postlewaite, PNB corps member Dylan Wald and Christina Siemens, PNB principal company pianist, to illustrate and perform male solos by acclaimed choreographer Jerome Robbins on the occasion of Robbins's centennial. Excerpts from Dances at a Gathering and Opus 19/The Dreamer and a Boal reconstruction of a "lost" solo set to "A Farewell to Land" created for him by Robbins in 1987 and originally intended for Ives, Songs are performed, as well as an excerpt from George Balanchine's Prodigal Son, in which Boal was coached by Robbins.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
