Event Description

Yanghee Lee/The Limbo Project is pleased to announce this 8 week workshop for the Summer 2010.
We are very excited and enthusiastic about having this great opportunity of The Body Weather Training.
All the details are below.

Introduction

The Body Weather KiM Training (BWK) is a unique and complete body-mind training system and practice.
This is an absolute relevant training method for dancers, body artists and movers from all sources.
The Body Weather concept was originally created by Japanese dancer/choreographer Min Tanaka and further developed by some dance laboratories worldwide. Body Weather KiM is a synthesis of the original and further elements designed by Elías Cohen deriving from Martial Arts, Classical Indian Dance, methods by Gurdjeff etc. The essential aim of Body Weather is to awaken the intelligence of the body by experiencing our physicality in all its capacities and possibilities.

The work includes:
1- MB (mind/body, muscles/bones): dynamic body mind training through the space creating great group awareness using image work, dance techniques (from modern to traditional Asiatic), sports and martial arts. Enhances and develops flexibility, creative physicality, endurance, precision and coordination.
2- Chinese Manipulations: couple work of body manipulations where the breathing plays an essential role creating great conscience about the Human Body structure and its layers.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
