On July 31, 2022, Ragamala Dance Company celebrates thirty years of activating art as citizenship. To honor this milestone, they were selected to participate in The Wallace Foundation's new, five-year arts initiative focused on arts organizations of color, to foster equitable improvements in the arts. Through this initiative, Artistic Directors Ranee and Aparna Ramaswamy will prioritize equity through shared humanity - from thoughtfully researched performance projects to rigorous educational programs; from connecting communities across perceived boundaries to serving as an incubator for South Asian artists. Join Ragamala as they turn 30 and embark on this ambitious, exhilarating opportunity for seismic growth. Help Ragamala reach their goal of raising $25,000 by July 31, 2022.
