POOL 17 - INTERNATIONAL DanceFilmFestival BERLIN
Film program: 4.-7th of October 2017, 7.00 pm, DOCK 11, Berlin
The 11th edition of POOL presents a selection of exciting dance film productions from all over the world. From 4th to 7th of October 2017 DOCK 11 will become a meeting platform for creators from the fields of dance, film, fashion and advertising.
The jury of POOL 17 has curated a three-day film program chosen from 680 submissions. The third day of presentations will be devoted for PEARLS - the equal winners of POOL.
Moreover the artists Miloushka Bokma and Adi Halfin will be honoured with the PEARLS Artist Prize for their outstanding and continous work in the field of dance film.
The format POOL Shine opens the festival with film-choreographies from the New York experimental film and dance
scene of the 60s till 80s on the 4th of October.
The program includes films by artists Elaine Summers and Joan Jonas, as well as by the choreographer Yoshiko Chuma who will introduce the program together with Peter Pleyer.
