ikonoTV presents POOL Video Dance Night from ikono tv on Vimeo.
ikonoTV has taken the rich program of International Dance Film platform POOL to drag the genre of dance film out of it’s artistic niche and make it accessible to an international TV audience for the first time. On 19 October 2013 ikonoTV presents submissions for POOL from recent competitions. Watch a selection of the most fascinating POOL films of the past years lasting about 6 hours, including works by Boris Seewald, Pierre Larauza or Dunja Jocic / Marinus Groothof.
The aim is to strengthen the importance of the dance film genre as an interdisciplinary art and to create a unique platform for the thriving international pool scene.
In Berlin, the POOL Video Dance Night is broadcast publicly in Saal 1 of Dock11 at 6 pm. Join us for the whole screening or just pop in to have a glass of wine and watch one or two films. All welcome. Meet the attending artists and other dance & film industry representatives.
At the same time, an online live stream will be available www.ikono.org/stream and will be broadcasted worldwide.
POOL Video Dance Night will screen the following times/days:
Berlin: Saturday, 19 October 2013, 18:00 (UTC + 2)
Los Angeles: Saturday, 19 October 2013, 18:00 (UTC - 7)
Tokyo: Sunday, 20 October, 18:00 (UTC + 9)
POOL has been an annual format for dance and animation films since 2007 and was founded by DOCK 11, Berlin.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
