In the early 1960s in New York Judson Dance Theater breaks the rules of ballet and modern dance while interlacing with the experimental New York Underground Cinema. Material for movement and pictures originates of everyday life – fragmentarily, unpretentiously or playfully assembled in collages.
POOL dedicates one evening to the film-choreographic experiments of the New York scene and follows the traces of the avantgarde movements from the early 60s to 80s. Amongst others Yvonne Rainer’s „Trio Film“ with Steve Paxton and Becky Arnold, „Annie“ by Phill Niblock, „The Girl Can’t Help It“ and „Champing at the bit“ by Yoshiko Chuma, „Inside the House of Floating Paper“ by Pooh Kaye as well as Henry Hills’ „Money“ will be screened. In addition an exhibition will offer further material during the festival days.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
