Event Description

The 2016 biennial edition ‘I/WE/THEY’ expands from the physical to the social body and explores the cultural borders of a networked world. Modern Body Festival is particularly interested in the effects of architecture, technology and digital communication, as they are fundamentally transforming the way we exist as a society, culture, species. Where do the limits of the self extend and where do the social bodies of group and community begin? How do we understand and position ourselves as individuals, while still feeling a sense of belonging and connection to an expanding global community? How do we exist, identify, and interact?

The Modern Body Festival welcomes works that seek the ‘modern body’ within the new worlds that emerge when different art forms intersect, collide, and modulate each other. Open to any discipline and format.

Deadline for application: 25th of July 2016

welcome to UNSTABLELANDSCAPE

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE

This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.

We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary  community interacting and embedded  unstablelandscape.

This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
