The University of Sussex is delighted to host an interdisciplinary workshop exploring applications of motion capture in Arts and Humanities research, as part of the AHRC (Arts and Humanities Research Council www.ahrc.ac.uk) funded, Motion in Place Platform Project (www.motioninplace.org). These events share experience and interests across digital development sectors that are nurturing interdisciplinary research.
Our 2011 Motion in Place Platform (MiPP) event will take place on July 7-8th, with a public open day on Saturday 9th. The format this year will be slightly different from our earlier workshop in June 2010, with less numerous, longer presentations, and notably a full review of the work that has been specifically achieved in the MiPP project we launched a year ago, but we will uphold the plenary format and ample moderated feedback sessions that all found so profitable last time.
We hope to see you, on our rolling South Downs campus, to be able to once more "capture" and share ideas, experience, and enthusiasm.

WE LIVE WITHIN AN UNSTABLE LANDSCAPE
This is a social networking website connecting people concerned about innovation and experimentation on art, dance, embodiment, cognition, science, networks, post-humanism, media and the unstable landscape of contemporary culture and life.
We are in a transitional phase and refocusing the network with a broader interdisciplinary framework. It will reflect a contemporary community interacting and embedded unstablelandscape.
This network is maintained and administrated by Marlon Barrios Solano as an independent art/curatorial/social innovation project.
